This post will guide you through on converting NSF and SPC to mp3 format which you can listen on your PC or MP3 player.
What is NSF or SPC files?
They are sound files ripped from SNES or super famicon game files. Usually they are all contain in a winrar file. Inside the winrar file, all the sound tracks in the game will be inside.
You will not be able to do a direct conversion of the spc file to mp3 file format. You will have to convert from SPC to WAV format, and after that convert from WAV to mp3 format.

When you have download the files, its time to start.

2) Unzip the SPC/NSF converter and move the .dll files to the Plugin Folders inside your winamp directory (Usually is C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugin)
3) Run Winamp and go to OPTIONS > PREFERENCE and find PLUG-INS > Inputs
Make sure you see the NSF or SPC plugins, depending again on the files you wish to play
4) Using the image at step 3 as reference, go to PLUG-IN > OUTPUT
You should see Nullsoft Disk Writer.
5) On the Output File Type, Set to “Force WAV File” This will force winamp to convert it to WAV file.
Click on “Output to directory containing source files” if you wish to save the output wav files to the same directory
6) IMPORTANT – Close Winamp and reopen Winamp again.
This will ensure that everything is saved and initialize properly.
7) Load the SPC / SF files into winamp and click on “PLAY”
At this process, you will not hear any sound. However if you notice, you will see that the timer is going at a fast rate. It is now converting SPC / NSF files to WAV format.
If you have tick “Output to directory containing source files”, the WAV files should be in the same directory after everything has finished.
You can stop at step 8 since WAV can be played on your PC. However since WAV take up a lot of space as compared to MP3 format, i recommend you to convert the WAV file to Mp3. You can save up to 80% by converting to MP3 music format.

9) Launch Audacity and go to PROJECT > IMPORT AUDIO (if you have a lot of WAV files to convert) This saves a lot of time.

10) Finally the last step, Go to Export Multiple to convert all the WAV files which you imported in the previous steps. Select MP3 as the file format.
Now you have successfully convert your game music SPC NSF files which your PC cant play to the MP3 format which you can listen to and enjoy
